Use of CBT and E-Learning

Overview

Tim Lane (author of ‘Learning To Succeed’ and Managing Director of AbilityCounts) will be talking about the effective implementation of E-Learning within a corporate environment and why trainers need to embrace this technology and treat it as their ally NOT their enemy.

Many roll-outs of E-Learning fail and it is mostly not the fault of the courseware, but mainly because of the lack of a proper roll-out. How many times do you see courseware put on a PC in a learning centre and people ‘invited’ to use it and then months later the contract being terminated due to ‘lack of use’?

Tim will be discussing various methods that can be used to ensure good use of this sort of material and explaining the key roles that trainers can play in this – and why they should. Tim will also be demonstrating some of the latest E-Learning courseware covering a number of topic areas such as ECDL, Call Centre Agents and SoftSkills.
