Our speaker for this presentation is IITT Member Derek Peters.

Derek qualified as a teacher in 1971 and after a series of promotions is now ICT Manager at Alder CHS.

Derek undertook several courses in computing at the Universities of Salford and Manchester before beginning his Computer Studies teaching in the late 1970′s.

He has extensive experience of the National Curriculum having been part of the 1991 Working Party and writing a Manchester Evening News colour supplement to support the launch of the National Curriculum in 1992.

He also has International training experience having advised on the implementation of ICT in schools in Larissa, Greece.

Derek is a published author having written several articles in the field of education and training.
