Data Analysis with Microsoft Excel

Overview

Excel contains a number of very powerful (and often under-used) Data Analysis Tools. When used in the correct way, they can speed up your work and provide information that would otherwise be difficult to find.

  • Goal Seek – when you have to work backwards – you know the result of a formula but need to know the input value required to achieve the result.
  • Data Tables – these are helpful when you need to view and compare the results of different formulae variations.
  • Scenarios – allows you to save sets of values and switch between them quickly.
  • Solver – work backwards from a solution whilst applying restrictions and constraints.

The presentation will give an overview of each of these important Excel features.
