From inception to delivery, through storyboarding, recording, voicing, editing, adding motion graphics and compression you'll be taken on a guided tour of all that's necessary to take your screencasting skills to the next level.

Overview

It seems everybody is producing video content these days so what will set you apart from the crowd? It can only be how professional your output is.

Tonight we’ll be demonstrating how you can master the production of polished screencasts using the latest professional grade tools.

From inception to delivery, through storyboarding, recording, voicing, editing, adding motion graphics and compression you’ll be taken on a guided tour of all that’s necessary to take your screencasting skills to the next level.

This is an event not to be missed!

Date and Time

13 December 2010, 20:00 – 21:30 GMT

Presenter

Elaine Giles

Event Review

Elaine started by talking about the hardware that she uses for creating screencasts. She then went on to cover the vast array of software and services that are available for creating screencasts, some of which are free (such as Screenr, Screen Toaster and Jing.

This was followed by an overview of her personal experiences with a number of screen recording applications. The main part of the event was a demonstration of the entire process for creating a screencast using both Screenflow and Camtasia, both fully-featured applications for creating, editing and publishing screencasts.

As the popularity of training moves away from the classroom to other mediums, I believe that screencasting is one of those must-have skills. If you missed this webinar, then you missed a treat and even I learnt a few new tricks!
